There’s much to like about Calcutta Club. Service is friendly and top notch. Great looking menu. I’m at a conference in Nottingham and this looked great I chose mango lassi, lamb chops, Kashmiri lamb (special) and laccha paratha. The food was good and missed a touch of seasoning all round. Nice flavours but didn’t have the depth that I find at top notch Indians

We had a wonderful evening at the Calcutta Club. The ostrich starter was the perfect size and melted in the mouth, the lamb special just fell of the bone. Both looked like small portions but filled beautifully with little space left for desert. The staff were wonderful and the the atmosphere just brilliant.

We come once or twice a year with friends and we have never been disappointed. The food is really tasty, well cooked with good size portions. The staff is always friendly and attentive. This time I had king prawns puri for starter, perfectly cooked prawns, and tandoori chicken breast. Really well cooked, once again, and good size portion. We all had different mains, and we all loved them.

I have banged on about Indian restaurants ought to stock Thornbridges’ Jaipur IPA as ‘standard’ - this restaurant does! Thoroughly recommend also on food - had the ‘Boatman’s Fish Stew’ - excellent with 6 lentil dal! Enough said!

An absolutely fantastic restaurant. The staff are amazing. The food is superb and the venue is beautiful. Hospitality is attentive and the food served in a timely manner with no rush but enough time to relax and enjoy. Top of the bill is the service. Friendly, engaging, intelligent and know exactly how to do their job. Very good. The food is fresh and superb. Very well cooked monkfish and amazingly tasty gravy. Fresh tandoori prawns were the best for a long time. So much on the menu we could have chosen was the hardest bit of the evening. Come and enjoy a wonderful night for either a group or a couple. It works just as well for everyone.

A worthwhile dining experience. We went as a group for the early bird special - for clarification this is starter and main for 20% off if ALL in group have this and arrive before 1830. We had great service and decent food. The chicken tikka starter was delectable and my colleagues who had the salmon tikka said it was the best they had ever had. Mains were fresh and tasty. I do think the naans being slight bigger would be more appropriately sized for a meal but still tasty. I had the chefs special of aasht gosht. I gave a 4 as it was nice but no mint as advertised in it. Still yummy. We couldn't manage desserts as too full. Decor was stylish and service impeccable.
